10:30 AM–2:00 PM
Acadia National Park
Bar Harbor, ME, USA
Attire: Comfortable Dressy - would not suggest heels!
Purchase a park entry pass to enter the park via recreation.gov (there is an app which is easier to navigate IMO). You will need an entry pass PER VEHICLE ONLY and it would make the most sense to carpool into the park - if everyone joins, (22 total) we are hoping to keep it down to 7 cars max which would put 3-4 people per vehicle. The pass is good for 7 days and can be purchased online anytime before you plan to enter. For the sake of preparation we should purchase the passes in advance and coordinate together who is getting a pass for their vehicle and who is gonna carpool with who. Don't be shy to check in with us about who you will carpool into the park with and if you have any questions about getting the park pass. See FAQ for links to the park entrance pass.

Tentatively Friday - Explore Downtown Bar Harbor and Boat Cruise

We plan on doing some sort of boat cruise right out of downtown Bar Harbor - either early afternoon or sunset style. Please RSVP to this by April 2026 so we can secure our spots on the boat. More details to come!

Tentatively Saturday - Explore Acadia Nature Walk

Saturday, October 3, 2026
Attire: Hiking attire - sneakers, potentially light jacket/layers weather dependent
We plan on doing a low key hike inside the park. This will not be super intense. Think waterside leisurely hike with many pauses to enjoy the views.

Travel and Lodging

Lodging Options

Below is a list of curated options that are all within 5 or so driving minutes (some within minutes walking distance) of Sweet Pea's Farm Kitchen where the dinner reception will be.

In order to give yourself plenty of time for travel and not missing the ceremony, you will need to be in Bar Harbor the night before on September 30th. So that should be the first night you plan to stay overnight.

We are lodging close by to where the dinner reception will be at the Edgewater Motel Cottages and Suites. Sweet Pea's is about ~15 minutes outside of downtown Bar Harbor and ~30 minutes from the ceremony spot in the park. If we can coordinate/figure out lodging sooner than later, shuttle options could be arranged.

Things to Do

We will have two group activities planned going into the weekend following the wedding (Friday + Saturday).

A few group meals sprinkled in for those who want to join (a breakfast here, a lunch and dinner there - not for every meal of everyday). We will have more details on this as RSVPs come in on the specific group activities below.

For those who are interested in staying into the weekend - there are loose plans for a short (easy) hike...a leisurely nature walk somewhere within the park and some sort of boat cruise!

If you do end up staying through the weekend, there will be plenty of downtime between the group activities and lots of fun things to explore at your leisure!

FAQ

When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP to everything by April 2026 if you plan to join us for the boat cruise.

When Should I RSVP to the wedding ceremony and dinner reception if I am not going on the boat cruise?

The sooner you RSVP to all of it, the better we can curate the itinerary for all of us! However, we ask you to please RSVP by August 2026 at the latest for the Wedding Ceremony and Dinner.

When should I book my lodging?

ASAP! To be safe by March or April 2026!! Anytime after May can become limited with options as Bar Harbor lodging tends to book up quickly as it gets closer to October!

What are the dates you will be up there?

Wednesday September 30th and leave to go home Sunday October 4th. In order to give yourself plenty of time for travel and not missing the ceremony, you will need to be in Bar Harbor the night before on September 30th. So that should be the first night you plan to stay overnight. *These are the suggested dates to book if you plan to attend everything after the wedding day.

Recreation.gov information page:

https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/74271

You only need a standard pass ($35 per vehicle) which is valid for 7 days. For those of us who plan to go on the nature walk on Saturday, the pass will still be valid for that day!

For anyone interested in driving to the top of Cadillac Mountain to catch one of the first glimpses of the sunrise on the east coast, that is a separate reservation that would need to be purchased in addition to the park entry pass. If you are interested in getting this sunrise reservation and have never done so before - reach out! The process is a little tricky! You can also look it up on the same link provided above as well!
